Comfy Cotton’s commitment to both its customers and the environment has been recognized (as shown) by the five Environmental Awards of Excellence bestowed by the City of North York, and the Town of Markham.
Comfy Cotton REDUCES waste by:- laundering and reusing cloth diapers 100 times before they are sold as rags
- employees use ceramic mugs and cloth towels
- using both sides of the paper before recycling
- drivers’ routes are coordinated to reduce distance travelled
- vehicles follow a strict maintenance schedule to reduce emissions
- trucks have diesel engines and are replaced every two years
- donating their dryer lint to schools to be used for arts and crafts
- donating lost and found items to Goodwill
- purchasing paper products that are made from recycled materials

Community Charitable Activities
- Supply doctors’ offices/education centres/hospitals with educational material
- Collect Heinz jar labels/cereal bar codes from customers and deliver to Sick Kids Hospital (Heinz donates 6 cents for each label collected)
- Donation of free diaper service to many charitable organizations for fund raising purposes
- Donation of diapers, covers and baby clothing to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and the Rhenish Church of Canada for layette bundles for the Canadian Lutheran World Relief
- Donation of diaper covers, diapers, educational material to Roots of Empathy program for teaching children about environmentally friendly alternatives
